about

In Ruin's "Strange, Solitary Times" is a semi-live recording from the homes of those in the band. The release and accompanying video were prompted by the fact that the first half of 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and quarantine, has been a largely solitary time for most people. The album was recorded in early May 2020 and includes a mix of old and new songs, including In Ruin's seminal cover of the Darkwood classic, "Break of Dawn." The performance can be viewed on YouTube. The Bandcamp edition includes a bonus track, "Hagalaz", and is being released in collaboration with The Covenant.
